DMR, or Digital Mobile Radio, is a digital two way radio technology.
It uses a time domain two-slot (TDMA) architecture to send messages and this improves the sprectral efficiency.
In plain English, it allows two concurrent radio signals to exist on the same frequency simulatenously.
